Large Platter in Eucalypt Green

The Large Platter forms part of a limited edition capsule collection entitled Everyday Rituals made in collaboration with Dutoit Studio and exhibited at Bookshop by Uro for Melbourne Design Week.

Everyday Rituals examines how objects shape everyday moments and how considered design can transform simple gestures into acts of reflection and care. At a moment when product design is increasingly dominated by scale and speed, Everyday Rituals takes a contrarian position, attending to the small gestures of daily life. This collection offers a conversation about what it means to design for use rather than novelty, and why the objects we reach for everyday matter.

The collection is designed to work together and can be used interchangeably as a set or individually. Suited to hot or cold applications as all pieces are dishwasher, microwave and oven friendly. 

Each piece is handmade in Naarm Melbourne by Nattier Ceramics and features a hand-stamped Dutoit x Nattier maker's mark on the base and is finished with a clear high-gloss glaze on the interior and a soft matte unglazed finish on the exterior.

Slip-cast and fired to 1280°C in small batches; slight irregularities in shape, size and texture are part of its handmade character and are embraced.
